Alcatel OXE and OXO prerequisites

What to check on your Alcatel PBX before opening the appliance wizard: collection account, network flows, CDR files.

Pre-deployment checklist

Ten items to tick before booting the appliance. Print the page or tick the boxes locally.

  1. PBX model identified — OXE (SSH/SCP collection) or OXO (embedded FTP collection)
  2. OXE: Taxation over IP license active — spadmin -l | grep -i account
  3. OXE: SSH enabled, read access to /usr4/account — account mtcl or a dedicated account
  4. OXO: embedded FTP server reachable on port 30021 — account ftp_nmc
  5. Flow opened from the appliance to the PBX — TCP 22 (OXE) or TCP 30021 plus passive FTP data ports (OXO)
  6. PBX IP address known and fixed
  7. Target hypervisor identified — VMware vSphere / ESXi, Proxmox VE, Microsoft Hyper-V
  8. VM resources reserved — 4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, 20 GB system disk + 100 GB data disk
  9. Signed license file received — license lifecycle
  10. Contractual mode chosen — Strict, +Support 72h or Connected
