2026 comparison
Natalia vs Dydu: two ways to give a town hall a chatbot
Dydu is a French conversational AI vendor founded in 2009, with a turnkey offer for town halls. Natalia is a multichannel agent, chatbot included, with public pricing. Here is what sets them apart, with sources.
Comparison methodology
Comparison written by Natalia on 1 October 2026, from two of Dydu's public pages (www.dydu.ai and www.dydu.ai/produits/chatbot/service-public/mairie/) and Natalia's public documentation. It has not been reviewed by the company cited. Scope: products, channels, offer for local authorities, stated hosting, pricing and public procurement. Both solutions meet the same need: equipping a public website with a conversational agent for resident enquiries. Information Dydu does not publish on those pages is marked as not mentioned, without extrapolation.
-
Turnkey chatbot for town halls (Dydu)
A chatbot delivered with more than 230 questions and answers for municipalities, 60% ready to use and 40% to complete, on a no-code platform. Dydu also offers callbots, voicebots and live chat. Pricing not published, demo on request.
Suited to a town hall that wants to start from a prepared question base
-
An agent that answers from your content (Natalia)
Our agent reads the website pages and public documents you have chosen, answers by citing the source and hands over to the right department. With the optional Mail agent, it also answers emails. Public pricing, chat from €43 excl. VAT per month on an annual plan.
Suited to an authority that wants to answer from what it already publishes
-
The website's own search engine
The search box that comes with the website. It costs nothing extra, but it compares keywords and returns a list of pages instead of an answer.
Suited to residents who know the right word
Dydu in detail
Dydu (dydu.ai) presents itself as an “expert in conversational AI” since 2009. Its website presents chatbot, callbot, voicebot, live chat and RCS chatbot offers. Dydu states that data is hosted in France and that it complies with the GDPR. For municipalities, its “Chatbot mairie” page describes a turnkey offer with more than 230 customisable questions and answers across 17 themes, states that its content editor follows the RGAA (the French accessibility standard) and says the solution is listed with UGAP, the French public purchasing agency.
Natalia starts from a different place: the agent answers from the pages and documents the authority already publishes, citing the source, rather than from a question base to complete. The same agent serves the website and the mailbox, and our prices are public. On the other hand, we are not listed with UGAP, and Dydu has a track record in this market that we don't have.

“Not disclosed” or “not mentioned” cells: information absent from the vendor's pages consulted on 1 October 2026. The pricing scopes are not identical (Dydu includes a prepared corpus and voice channels), so prices are not directly comparable. Offers and prices change; for an up-to-date assessment, check the vendor's website directly. What makes Natalia different
-
Answers drawn from your content
The agent answers from the pages and documents you have already published and cites the source. You start with what already exists.
-
One knowledge base for the website and the mailbox
With the optional Mail agent, residents' emails are sorted, routed and prepared for reply from the same knowledge base.
-
Public pricing
Chat from €43 excl. VAT per month on an annual plan: 500 conversations, 500 indexed pages, unlimited users, no setup fee.
-
The phone if needed
The same agent can also answer the phone with Natalia Voice, then follow up by SMS or WhatsApp.
How to choose between Natalia and Dydu?
If you want to start from a question base prepared for municipalities, buy through UGAP or work with a vendor active in this market since 2009: Dydu. If you want an agent that answers from your published pages and documents while citing the source, on the website and by email, with listed prices: Natalia.
Both approaches can be tested side by side on the ten questions your front desk gets most often. Look at how accurate the answers are, whether the source is cited and what happens when the assistant doesn't know.
Where Dydu may fit
Dydu may be a better fit if your authority buys through UGAP (Dydu states it is listed there), if you prefer to start with a set of questions and answers already written for town halls, or if you want a vendor active in this market since 2009. Its callbot, voicebot and live chat offers also cover other needs. These are strengths Natalia does not have.
